Records for this aircraft start in 1947, when it was flown by the RCAF. In 1957 it passed into private ownership and in 1963 is listed as being ‘crashed / destroyed in Crumstown, Indiana.
In the 1970’s the aircraft was restored to flying condition and thereafter passed through various owners and names, including ‘Buster’ and ‘Yankee Trader’, before being purchased by Wilhelm Heinz. After being renamed ‘Louisiana Kid’ it flew for the first time in Germany on the 1st May 2013 and is now a regular sight at airshows around Europe.
